OK, started to put AXN and 720p version in sync... good news: after I regraded the 720p with AXN as reference, this will be used for the patch to cover the AXN logo; bad news: several settings are necessary to resize the image to be perfectly aligned, spatially, with the AXN... Sad a huge pain in the... neck!

I don't get it, isn't the logo on the AXN not seen in the HDTV widescreen OAR version? How can you patch it up if the image is not to be seen on the OAR?

Here is an example of uncorrectly aligned frames, regraded:

as you can see, the OAR is "set" not in the middle, but more on the top, hence the AXN would be covered (in almost all shots)!

I wouldn't bet on it.
This and True Lies got the shaft on Blu ray, and there is no indication that UHD-BD would treat them any better.
Also, the first batch appear to be upconverted, as those are new films that were mastered in 2K.
