It matters to me but if none of the flaws matter to you why not use the Sanjuro version as the base for your project he put most of them back in, or does the 3D version have something different in the transfer?

Yes, the 2K & 4K versions are flawed, with many clipped highlights and blanket teal scenes.
The 3D has balanced colors and no clipped highlights.

It's pretty funny that the window falling out bugged James Cameron enough to feel the need to correct it all these years later, yet when Arnie throws a guy into an armoured glass window in the mental hospital, the two windows on either side of it don't have glass at all anyway

Even when we see the close-up of Arnold's 'exposed' eye at the end (when the 'alternate power source' kicks in), the close-up was correct, but the eye prosthetic Arnold wears is wrong. Kind of hard to miss that one when it's both figuratively and literally staring you in face, lol. I suppose he'd say it's an 'artistic' thing now (or just a general intentional choice), but it still kinda bugs me. The red eyes is what scared me the most as a kid, and I missed that when I saw T2 both back then, and even now.

Looks promising.
I was trying to do something like that some time ago.
After watching some scenes:
Ok, it looks like that would be the definitive version for me, even If I'd not delete some little changes from new version (like visible stuntman picking John from the bike). Anyway, I can live with that. Looks gorgeous overall. Exactly the look I was aiming for with my (kind of) failed attempt to fix it two years ago. It's almost funny that some artificial grain can improve the look of the movie that MUCH. The movie is officialy saved

Is anyone able to seed the torrent? Or please let me know if it's available somewhere else? Thanks

Sanjuro, may I ask how did you implemented regraining in that project?
I know one method with avisynth but it adds grain also do the black bars. |
