There is definitely stereo effect (but not wide separation) on the R2 DVD track. Actually, isn't it just the same mix as the 5.1 in stereo form but without filtering the high end / de-hissing?
LD for the true mono.

There is less hiss on the ld and none on the 5.1 .

Does anyone happen to have the untouched stereo track from the R2 DVD? I agree is sounds a lot better than the LD/5.1.
I'm looking to sync it to the older master (Criterion/2013 DE Studiocanal). The sync to the newer 4K master is at 24fps so I don't want to resample it back to 23.976fps. |
