IIRC the Dutch BD that you are after only features DTS-HR audio. So its lossy

So what's the story with the various releases? As far as I can tell the Dutch BD is a straight IP scan with dirt/damage etc whereas the US BD is restored and a modern 'DI' grading applied. The version I watched on Netflix had a lot of blue and/or orange (very orange) scenes, I'm guessing this was based on the US master.

^ Yeah, that fits with my understanding of the situation. The US BD can look pretty orange. The first DE BD was better overall, and the latest one's much better.

EDIT: Oh, and JP two-disc set didn't look better than previous releases, despite having a higher bitrate. It does have lossless audio though.

I’m actually (hopefully) waiting for a friend of mine for help, so I can at least get started on this; as I get access to that and the various audio tracks, I’ll get on this.  Should have it done in a couple of weeks once I can get going.

Good news: It took me only about 15 minutes to find the dutch BD in my collection. Smile So, you will be able to compare it to other sources.
