it's funny that the same Joss Whedon was in a similar situation with Fox and his Firefly, and at the end he got the change to film Serenity to give some plot holes their answers. Back on topic... one... two... three... FIGHT!

Most of the Top Brass involved are not the Top Brass anymore. Due to the AT&T buy out. The Warner Bros film devision have lost there power. Good or bad AT&T made there position known with both, putting up the money for the Snyder Cut and moving the Warner Theatrical lineup to streaming. They will happily destroy the remnents of the old guard. I do believe there is an internal war going on. Departments wanting to make sure that any charge back is justified and I've seen two bosses argue over a $10 line item. And our corporation was no where near as large as AT&T. AT&T does not care about the printed DC comics, does not care about theaters, their only concern is HBOMax and subscribers. That's what they are used to with phone, internet and cell phone subscribers. Having monthly revenue for them is preferable to the gamble of releasing a film and hoping that you can at least get your money and the investor's money back. Now whether that works or not is anyone's guess. Which is why when the head of WB says that the SynderVerse is dead, it's not their call anymore. If AT&T can see money in the SynderVerse, you can bet they will invest in it. In the context of the craven human pettiness of corporate infighting and regime changes, it's not COMPLETELY out of the question. But it just doesn't pass my personal smell test yet. And this is despite the fact that I have no problem believing modern Hollywood would amplify such regular instances of human greed and ego-stroking. This is, after all, a world in which a mega-success like the LOTR trilogy apparently made no profit to the point that Jackson had to sue New Line to get paid what he was due. But some subtle-to-moderate massaging of some viewership numbers feels so insignificant in the context of AT&T going: Quote:"OOOOOH!!!
