Of course the LD audio is always welcome, but if you have the 4.1 on the Steelbook, that should be the best one yet. Apparently, great care has been put into capturing this 70mm track with modern technoloty since Shout went out of their way to repress the disc with the specific disclaim on the cover.

I thought the HD-DVD from 2007 sounded pretty darn good, but no idea if it's a remix or not.

I don't own the HD-DVD but if anyone needs it ripped for this project I do have a Blu Ray/HD-DVD Drive for my PC so I could probably rip it somehow. I only own one HD-DVD that I bought purely because I have this drive, I keep meaning to investigate how to play/rip them.
Program material is recorded on the other side of this disc...

HippieDalek, thanks for the offer on the HD-DVD!
But I'm not sure it will offer any advantages over the tracks available on BD (specially over the Shout's 4.1). It's the 1996 WS LaserDisc PCM track "I can dream about"!  There's one copy available at the lddb.com marketplace, so if you or any other member is willing/equipped to rip and sync it, I would gift the person the LD.

Sadly I don't own the film on laserdisc, but if I ever get hold of it I'd be more than happy to do you a bit perfect PCM rip.

I might need a hand with IVTC for the LaserDisc but if somebody manages to rip the video as well as the audio then I can potentially give sync a bash. I'm going to have to investigate manual IVTC for T2 as well anyway, so I might as well do the same again. Not looking forward to the fight with AviSynth+ though...
