As for the WB logo, as far as WS is concerned, I do have the 1.66:1 version from Criterion's Barry Lyndon BR. I might use that.
Could do, but if you read the post I linked it isn't great. Colour is horrid (though that could be fixed), very DNRed, and it's cut short because it's cut to the music in Barry Lyndon specifically. There might be an actual open matte one somewhere, I wasn't looking for that myself.

The original one definitely has it, the later versions switched to a remix instead. Annoyingly, the packaging looks basically identical between the original and the first revision that drops the mono...

For a 4:3 Big W in HD, the closest to the one used on the Shining 1999 DVD would be this:
It comes off The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie, which can be found at places like iTunes (lowest quality) and on Amazon Video (best PQ)

I found out, my version doesn't have the mono track. It's the Warner snapper case version, but it only comes with English and French 5.1.
I would be really grateful if anyone could provide me the mono track from the early DVD.

Some tiny fragments of dialog may have been cut out from the international version although they would have been there if the scenes were simply cut out with no further sound editing.
I'm writing this because when I saw the 5.1 italian version after listening to the mono dub many times I noticed two moments (Hallorann in the kitchen with Wendy and Danny, Wendy and Danny running outside in the sun towards the maze) where I heard a fragment of the dialog track right at the beginning of the scenes that wasn't in the mono dub. The film was originally dubbed in Italian in the 144' version, so these sounds must have been part of the longer dub (never released) but they were cut out after the production of the 119' version in order to make the sound editing smoother. Maybe something similar happened also to the English international mono soundtrack. It would be great to check using a UK mono VHS.

What I'm saying is, that apparently is not the case with the English track, but in fairness I have not checked this first-hand: I'm going off info from somebody else, whose information I trust implicitly. It is however *possible* that they might not be correct, so by all means, check away. I'll bow out of that particular investigation though because I've determined fairly definitively that I don't like the shorter cut. Despite the fact my general preference is strongly in favour of snappier pacing for most films, THE SHINING doesn't work at all if you rush things at the setup stage, which I feel like the UK cut does. (That said, I'm not even convinced that the US cut nails the landing either because I have issues with the casting/direction of Jack Nicholson regardless, but that's entirely another matter!)

Hi, all! I'm still working on this project but if anyone still needs the mono track, just let me know.
By the way, the Shout Factory release of John Carpenter's film "Someone's Watching Me!" has the Warner logo designed by Saul Bass in 1.37:1.
