Very interesting. I will have to play around with that sometime.

Can confirm that deleting the last frame in a hex editor produces a clean decode with no errors in eac3to.

Looks like this tool converts the file and fixes the frame header at the same time:

I had tried using it back when I was trying to achieve bit perfect capture but forgot to try it when I worked out what was going wrong with the DTS Parser output that necessitates adjustment. I meant to post that here the other day and forgot so thank you for doing it for me. Thanks given by: alleycat

I tried the automated tool once, couldn't get it to work, so I stuck with dts parser and hex editing the frame headers. Does this tool fix the final incomplete frame?

Does this tool fix the final incomplete frame? Sorry I'm not sure but I know Alinskey used it for the Mortal Kombat DTS track so hopefully he can confirm.

Does this tool fix the final incomplete frame? I never used a hex editor. I split the WAV I recorded into two separate WAVs (split at the side change). Then I ran each through DTS Parser. I got two fully-working DTS files. All the issues I had in the past seemed to be fixed by not having the dead air between sides on the DTS WAV. Thanks given by: alleycat

Does this tool fix the final incomplete frame? That's... odd. Because splitting it does nothing about the headers. Would you mind sending me one of the files to look at the headers etc.? Am curious. |
