“The Crow 4K blu comes out in May I'm told. And no, I wasn't involved with this release - though I have confidence Darius Wolski the DP who supervised the transfer has made it look how I intended. Why wasn't I involved? Simply too personally painful for me to have to watch the film after all this time. I'm told the movie still holds up - you'll need to be the judge.“

I have the original DVD which is a LD port, if anyone is interested.

It's not the channels it's the mix.
The shootout in top dollars loft is a mess in the new 5.1 mixes

So you want the original far-field 5.1 mix without having to resort to the cinema DTS or laser disc 5.1. Understandable, Spencer wants pretty much the SR, I think both should be preserved and both should be without pulling Paramount's teeth out. Considering the DP is overseeing the transfer, I think the director should have also overseeing the transfer as well to get it right.

It can be a nearfield mix but the original mixing.
The PCM sounds better mixed than the current 5.1

Whenever a filmmaker says 'the intended look' is worrying as it almost always means a revisionist regrade. There's a podcast with the DP where the cinematography of The Crow was discussed, it was filmed with sepia filters and corrected in the timing process, nothing blue was allowed in the frame as it would 'scream', I will post a link a little later

No need to worry as the film looks mostly like it always did in UHD.

-5.1 near field remix is being kept, But in True HD. Paramount is going to Paramount.
Thought they would include the original DTS audio or at least SR version, but it looks like You're going to dig up your old copies for those.
