In France, we've had some Disney/Buena Vista titles in THX on DVD, at least these:
- The Rock - Die Hard With a Vengeance - The Crow - From Dusk Till Dawn And also from Wild Side, at least this one: - Sin City

And from Gaumont region 2 DVD, I believe the 1st French movie having a THX certification : The Crimson Rivers.

How to spot a THX Certificated feature?
I have a Hellraiser 2 DVD release from Anchor Bay, that has a box "Digitally mastered for..." with the THX Logo in it. (search for the 2001 release) So, is that a valid THX certification?

That, of course, didn't start happening until about 2000, so early THX DVDs definitely don't have the Optimizer.

1996 VHS of E.T. the Extra Terrestrial is THX certified. Same for the 1997 Widescreen VHS of Jaws although to my eyes and ears it looks and sounds no different than the 1995 Non-THX certified Letterboxed VHS.
