STTNG didn't sold out for one reason only, they went 4/3 instead of 16/9. They bowed out to online criticism from the Blu-site, listening to about 20 vocals 4/3 advocates there, and they paid for it.
With Friends, and many other shows extended to 16/9 like The Wire, X-Files etc. we now know that if you go back to the negatives, reformating to 16/9 is the most commercial way to go. People aren't stupid, and they understand that the DVDs are the original masters formated for 4/3 CRT (like with Highlander here), but if you go out remastering from the O negs, 16/9 is the lynchpin that will sell out the box sets, and put the shows longevity on syndication for the next 50 years+.
However as here, if you go back to the digital network masters, of course 4/3 1080p is awesome, it's the best preservation of the original aired masters. For STTNG, they should have done this, then remasters in wide from the O neg 5 years later. It would still sell out.

Shows like Buffy and I think seasons 1 and 2 of angel would beg to differ when it comes to 16:9 you can see crew members you weren’t meant to see etc.

I what did I do wrong a gave HippieDalek a pm while he was on and I’m being ignored. I’d like to see how great the trailer looks without the awful compression too.

Sorry the only reason I asked is he told me to do just that I just assumed he would have at least said tomorrow something that’s all. didn’t mean to get so pushy just thought it was odd that’s all. Also big fan of Highlander I hope that not only Highlander 1 but 3 and endgame get uhd blu rays one day and are the definitive cuts of the movies. I wish there was a way to enjoy Highlander the raven with it having a better ending than it got with season 2.

fanres is a nice comfortable slow moving community, perhaps in contrast to a lot of the internet. Like the ents in Lord of the Rings. We take our time, even if it takes days, weeks, months or years, but we get things done. Well, usually. Just lean back and enjoy the slow pace.
