Hey all, this is a very specific question, but I'm doing a fan edit of the 1973 Clint Eastwood movie, MAGNUM FORCE. Good movie, but they added a lot during production which was not in the original script (love interest, gratuitous murder scene, etc.) I did my editing in Premiere and encoding in Handbrake.
Is there a way to edit the original Blu-Ray's PGS subtitles to fit the new picture? I've kept track of the specific timecode of any of my deletions.
I was originally hoping to use TSMuxer to break the original video file (with PGS) into several segments, then append them together in TSMuxer. But, when I do that, the subtitles only work up until the first segment break.
If all else fails, I suppose I'll just do a backup version where I hardcode English subtitles. Hoping to figure all this out because A) I have a close friend who is not a native English speaker and often uses subtitles to help B) I want to know if I can fan edit any foreign films
I'm on a Mac, FWIW.
