In any case, I suspect the debate on whether the UHDs mono is a downmix or not becomes moot when it's filtered as suggested upthread. A replacement from LD/DVD would be a good addition either way.

xwMaRio over at Blu added the old MGM blu-ray 2.0 to his remux, how does that compare to dvd.

This it is very interesting, When back in the day I did this, did not have access to the 90s MGM DVD very unfortunately, well till date do not have a copy of the 90s MGM DVD unless a kind soul would help me out  ) Either way, the spectrogram for DVD looks very good. Okay, So I did check the audio provided by - Bendermac (NTSC DVD)and the Old MGM Blu-ray. TBH, both are very close if you look at it first sight, BUT...
https://slow.pics/c/X3Tc4pj3 as you can see, a line (technical term would be noise?) at the 15khz and the peaks falling short of 15khz line while the DVD does have a good range, also if you notice after the 50 min mark there is a significant noise reduction. My assumption is that DVD audio provided by Bendermac (thanks) is a better source for the movie. Good news is that I got the audio synced.
