heyo!

i havent said anything for a while so i thought i might as well give a bit of an update, but also i wanted to ask ppl's thoughts about release Blush

currently, im happy with the state of ~19/30 DVD shots. there was a couple of things that put work on hold for a bit but with my current pace im looking at finishing the DVD shots sometime next month (likely the latter half of the month).  Big Grin before then i will probably put together a little clip of one of the entire sequences ive enhanced.

but therein also lies my question. i originally kinda wanted to get something out by the end of the summer, and it has become clear that i wont finish enhancing the bonus disc footage for a while longer.

now i could put together a release with the enhanced DVD footage and the as-is bonus disc footage at native res (1544x1080) as like a version 0.5 and then later release the full 2K version with all footage enhanced, or i could just focus on getting the 2K version ready. Undecided i dont think releasing something next month would put the schedule back too much so its mostly whether yall would want an incremental release or would prefer to wait for the full thing Tongue

pls let me know ur thoughts!

Hiya!

I finished up my latest preview! Big Grin its the little IMAX sequence where Rachel is narrating her letter to Bruce.

it's about 1m 20s, 15 shots, all upscaled from the 480p DVD source, and finished at 2K (2048x1432).

ive uploaded to youtube for easy watching, but also ive uploaded the original render for those who want higher quality (its full 2K in h264 @ ~70Mbps with 5.1 PCM audio) to my google drive Tongue

heyo! Smile ive been slowly working away when ive been able to. unfortunately thats not quite as much as i would have liked, but progress is happening. ive started to make a dent into the bonus disc footage but there is quite a lot.

now regarding that, id like to get some feedback on image quality: i basically have currently 4 options to get to the final shot, and im not quite sure which one is worth sticking with. each one takes a different amount of time and so on, and ofc ive looked to compare all of them. but i would like to get some extra opinions. all the images have no labels as to hopefully avoid any biases.

i have uploaded all the files here, they are bmps at 2048x1432. ive stuck to google drive so that people can download and look at the original, uncompressed image rather than potentially run into any additional compression in transit.

feel free to pixel peep or whatever you want to do, and i look forward to feedback! Tongue

Of those options, I think the third looks best!
