[Released] "Heat" theatrical cut regraded
#11
I remember listening to the bank heist/shootout on laserdisc AC3 track at an audio video shop back in the day (I couldn't afford laserdisc at the time [£45 for an import]. I then got in to DVD's early, then BluRay and now 4k. None of the releases sound as good as the laserdisc.

Put those 60 days to good use, though. Don't just wait and expect to get stuff that way, that won't do it.

So I put on the UHD of HEAT yesterday.
I promptly turned it off and put this version on again.

This really is great, thanks again for your work on this.
Credit where credits due and all that Smile

The problem with the 4k release and other non 35mm film print version is that the colors aren't true to its original 35mm film print. Also as for the 4k release, it doesn't not have the original theatrical 5.1 surround sound mix when you end up having a gimmicky (and turned out to be an upmix instead of an actual remix from the ground up using the original separate raw individual tracks) Dolby Atmos.

Heat doesn't have a Dolby Atmos remix on UHD, pal. It's a dts HDMA 5.1 track on the disc.

And still managed to be a terrible remix

What's wrong with the Blu-ray mix?

Apparently the current 5.1 remix is not as good and faithful to its original theatrical 5.1 surround sound mix, and the only thing closer is the laserdisc 5.1 mix and possibly the 5.1 mix of the 2012 Japanese Blu-Ray release.
