It's been done for a while, except for the VHS mono sync. To make it even better videowise, since nobody offered to help with the upscaling, my other idea would require a computer graphist that could recreate the exact font for our characters' "names" as I can have a clean slate in HD by just pausing the movie and replicate the same frame over and over since the "names" appear in a freeze frame moment for each. I guess that would work and would look better.

Yeah... Trying to reproduce (and match) the writing is going to be a (very) tough one, unless there's a font that already exist that can match the look. But then again, it may look a bit fake. Anymating it, it can be done in After Effects. But reproducing the movement pattern of the apearence on screen is also going to be tricky, but doable for sure.

IndianaGilles didn't sync any Arrow releases, to be precise, QTZ team did. All his syncs were on previous Blu-ray releases.
Carmelo Mike will also be involved in the ESC version of the Arrow release. So the audio will be in good hands.

No, I meant he did some stuff with othe people (QTZ team) before releasing them on his blog. Sorry, I didn't meant any confusion.

I would do that in DaVinci Resolve as I don’t have After Effects. I would just superimpose the clips, one with the full writing on it, the other with none, and simply use the horizontal cropping progressively, frame by frame, so the text appears the same way as the original. I just need the correct font as I can choose the colors, add a shadow and blur it just enough to make it look less digital and more part of the image.

Do we have historians of the French dub here? Was there a remix (maybe stereo) before the 5.1 remix from MGM? And what folleys were changed in the remix or remixes? I already noticed a gun shot being changed in the 5.1 remix near the beginning when the guy tries to shoot a fleeing Tuco and falls on the floor. And there's also the name "Shorty" being butchered into "Shortor" kinda like how "policier robot" was butchered into "policio" in the remix of "Robocop".

So... I just tried and made a new hybrid 5.1 mix for the French dub, based on the center channel from the extended cut French dub and Arrow’s new 5.1 English mix. Now I need to test it to determine if it turned out pretty good or if it sounds crappy. I think I managed to fix the name Shortor/Shorty while at it.
