Disney's Beauty and the Beast [spoRv]

It's available here. I know we asked this like 2 years ago, but I would still love to have the raw 480/29.97i capture to play with!

Yes I'm aware of it, but reserve to the upload around 10 days is a bit out of question now... Smile
But I can burn a BD with rawdata and send it to someone with fast upload speed... I have someone in mind, who I should capture some laserdiscs... Smile

Right now it comes to my attention that the French PAL LD version is 1.33:1 "as presented in the cinema"... I don't think it was never projected open matte, so I put it in the player and indeed it's just a cropped version... unuseful, someone could think... slow down; it could be used, in theory, to replace the central part of the NTSC capture, as this will be, when captured, 720x576, and will replace, roughly, the 576x386 central image part, hence retaining an higher resolution for that.

Of course, if all goes well, the color grading match, the master used is the same without distortions, rotations etc. and the cropping is fixed.

It is just an idea I thought to share with you all.

Hey! Just want to say thanks to the person who begun this project, and also reiterate what many have said -- I would also love to get my hands on the original laserdisc 1992 raw. I am currently downloading the one created through the project, and I'm really excited to see what the result.

The 35mm version will be way better. Smile

Just finished checking out the BD version and it still feels too bright for me. From what I remember, the vhs home version and/or laserdisc version would be much darker in some areas. I'm going to try to darken it myself to get the contrast I remember, but will also be looking forward to the 35mm version. Thanks for linking! =D

I've found the magnet link to my project; there are two/three seeders at the moment, so if anyone is interested in this, drop me a PM.

I'd be very interested in seeing this and does anyone know if the 35mm project completed, I know they met their funding goals, but I've never seen it anywhere.

Hello spoRv, can you send me a magnet link please ?
I can't send a PM (probably because I'm new).

What method of deinterlacing do you use for your LD capture?

thx in advance
