Is the Polish BD available anywhere for snatching? I DO have certain cinema audio for these 3 movies ...... maybe an open-matte trilogy project is in order?

I only found an encode of the BD and the third movie i'm not sure if there's an open matte, have a feeling there is.

OK, I'm trying to get some points:

Underworld

• HDTV is open matte, so I think THIS could be a good project
  
• there are some shots that are slightly different in footage and grading - take a look at "TV: 1:06:31" on http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=5059467; HD-DVD (that should have the same BD color grading) *seems* a bit more greenish than DVD, but maybe it's just due to different colorspaces - http://whiggles.landofwhimsy.com/writing...dsdhd.html; so this step *could* be avoided
  
• HD-DVD seems softer than BD, so no need to make a preservation - http://hd.maltebauer.de/underworld_bd-vs-hd/01.html
  
• but *maybe* an HD-DVD and BD average *could* be better than the single version
  

Underworld Evolution

• HD-DVD has different contrast than BD - http://hd.maltebauer.de/underworldevolut...hd/01.html - note the comparison is made with MPEG2 BD, so maybe AVC BD could be the same as HD-DVD... further investigation is needed
  
• Polish BD has open matte version, so no need to make a preservation, but it could be useful if someone would like to make the fanedit

I believe that a nice open-matte trilogy would make a nice companion for those who already enjoy the Bluray versions of these. I am going to try and find an HD-DVD rip of Evolutions as I already downloaded the HD-DVD of the first one. It just adds something to the set for me .... alternate viewing and audio options being the most important.
