Halloween Criterion - I know there has been a really nice edition by SpoRv already with the audio tracks but there was a few special features on the LD I'd love to get preserved:

Additional footage shot for the 1980 television release
Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert give splatter movies the thumbs down while praising Halloween in a controversial 1980 Sneak Previews segment
Photo essay on the making of Halloween
Photo Essay on splatter films
Illustrated filmographies of John Carpenter, Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis

Crash Criterion - I already have the commentary track but the LD audio and the behind the scenes footage would be great - but I know there is a German Blu in the works and maybe they will port these over.

Anyone have Mr. Nice Guy by chance? I saw the new BD release coming up only has a 5.1 track.

Does anyone have either the Criterion edition of Boyz N The Hood or the Lumivision edition of The Hidden? I have preservation projects of both of these planned and it would be nice to include uncompressed LD mono audio.

BTW can anyone explain how to read the audio options listed on lddb? For example this one:

I can see analogue right is the commentary, analogue left is a box with one dot it in so that's mono, but the digital track is a box with four dots in it, three at the front and one at the back - so is that 3.1?

in your example: 4 dots is 4.0 = Dolby Surround

My Jap LD of UniSol was captured by zeropc a long time ago. I need to ask him about the files. He usually kept them. Dunno if he ever synced them.

Would you mind telling me if your Japanese Version of Universal Soldier is the LDX/AC-3 PILF-2385? 

I recently watched the awesome 4k UHD and it would be fantastic to have LD tracks synced to it. Does anyone know if the AC-3 is based on the CDS mix?

Darn, I saw both too late. Well I have the US LDs of Universal Soldier and TMNT coming, along with some other 90s nostalgia like Home Alone 2, Under Siege, and Cliffhanger.

I have the original UK BD for Universal Solider with a 2.0 PCM track. If you're interested, I could get for you  to compare with the LD track. It would be great to know if it's the original mix and how does it compare to the LD.

Hey sure, been meaning to get around to Universal Soldier now that the 4k UHD is out. I also got the Japanese LD from bendermac so I'll have to see which sounds best.

Fantastic! It will be great to have the US and JPN LD plus the UK BD compared.

I'll get both the 2.0 PCM and the 5.1 DTS-HD present on the disc for you later today (I'm doing the uploads).

Some notes on this UK BD:

1- it's enconded at 23.976 fps.
2- It starts with the old Studio Canal intro, followed by the Tri-Star one (which I sadly miss on all Studio Canal UHDs). Funny enough, the SC UHDs have the distributed by TriStar Pictures at the end of the end credits.
