I'd love to see the theatrical verison of this movie preserved. It's on DVD but not blu ray to my knowlege. I'm not sure if there is a HDTV broadcast that could be used to fill in the alternate footage that only exists in the theatrical version.

Strangely, I thought the Italian BD was the Theatrical Cut, as stated on the cover (122min) while, when played, its lenght is around 132, so it's the Director's Cut as the other BD editions...
Following the differences here - http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=1905 - it seems that only few shots are present only (or with some difference) on the TC, so the preservation job is just to cut out DC extended shots and replace the few ones not on BD using upscaled DVD, until a HDTV TC is available somewhere!

Thats's a shame the info on the Italian release was incorrect. It's my preferred version of the film, I think the DC drags on a bit.
Hopefully a HDTV version pops up, it would be nice to watch the whol thing in constant quality. If it does and nobody has tackled this project yet I will probably take it on. Just got a lot of other stuff I'm working on right now.

I have a film print of the Daredevil TC. I have the DTS Theatrical audio for it as well. It needs to be scanned first. It might be awhile before it happens. Just a heads up for folks anyways.

I got this down from rutracker, and it is the theatrical cut. It's spot on, there is no menu, but the picture is fantastic and the audio is HD. The theatrical commentary is even included. Does anyone have some more info on this at all? I've looked and the only BD release I can find for Russia is the directors cut, so I'm confused as to where this version originates from.
