Does anybody happen to still have this lying around? If so, would you be willing to send it my way? I'd PM but figured it might be best to put the question to the lot of you at once!

I'd PM but figured it might be best to put the question to the lot of you at once! I do. I'll extract it and upload it for you. Here are Murrell's views on the movie, which sums up what he's talking about with Reilly during the commentary: Thanks given by: pipefan413

Well, we'll need a resync pretty soon: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Jaws-4K-B...99/#Review
Unless it remains in perfect sync with the 2012 Blu-ray. Thanks given by: pipefan413

I guess I do have a 4K player, but that means SDR only and downscaling everything to 1080p, so I so far haven't been buying any 4K releases (apart from one that came with the player). However, there are some that have me wondering. For example, the German 4K release of Dog Soldiers is the best available scan to date because it's apparently from the OCN (that was meant to have been lost, hence Scream Factory using a really dodgy scan of a print previously). There are problems with the audio but that's easily fixed with a remux since there are (as far as I know) no missing frames in either the Scream Factory or Koch releases so the audio from the former should theoretically sync with the latter... Jaws on Blu-ray is hardly my favourite transfer so maybe I should consider this one as well. I haven't yet seen it on my projector but on my PC monitor, it looks like everybody's made of wax, so I assume somebody let their toddler get too near the big red DNR button. I don't have a UHD TV yet either. In a year or two, I guess, when my current 55" OLED HD 3D TV will be 6 years old and my warranty will soon expire, I can get 20% of what I paid for it as a discount on the new TV I'll get. So I have about a year or two ahead of me to enjoy some 3D at home, 'cause it doesn't exist anymore... I know it's a gimmick, but some movies do look pretty good in 3D; Dr. Strange comes to mind, plus it's the LIEMAX 3D version. As for the 2012 Blu-ray of Jaws, I like how it looks. I never thought it looked waxy. It could use more grain, for sure, but I wouldn't call it waxy. Terminator 2, now, that one I call waxy and even plastic-y. They clearly fell asleep on the big red DNR button on that one. Thanks given by: pipefan413

I watch everything on a 1080p DLP projector so I hear you on the 3D front. Gimmicky or not, I defy anybody to watch Dredd in 3D on the projector with 7.1 (Canadian steelbook) audio and not be impressed. I'm planning to watch Jaws soon with jonnof's UK cinema intro and the '97 LD audio, so I guess I'll see how it looks on the projector soon. My "waxy" comment is based entirely on what it looks like from a reasonable distance on a 32-inch TV (which was relegated to my office when I got the projector a while back); it's entirely possible it will look fine on the projector and indeed I hope that it does!
