Indiana Jones UHD Collection

I'll probably get the Wowow for RAIDERS and mux the original audio to the UHD versions of TEMPLE and CRUSADE.

Re. THE LAST CRUSADE.

So just to be clear is the extra frame at 65:58 or 77:36?

I'm going to try and add 24 ms to the LD audio at the correct point (or as near as without disruption).

EDIT: Also, is the LD audio for TEMPLE OF DOOM synced to the UHD master?

It looks fine to me on a quick peak, but if anyone knows otherwise...

I purchased this collection because I like to have options, and I'm a massive fan, but I can safely say that I will never watch them again.

The 35mm is everything I ever wanted. It was also a deciding factor on building a summer house in the garden with a massive projector.

Just holding out for the 35mm Temple and Crusade.

I thought about the 35mm RAIDERS but it looked a bit damaged (compared to the excellent Star Wars 4K77) and is reportedly missing some footage. You think it's better than the Wowow edition?

Wowow looks like crap with edge enhancement.

I either go the UHD, or any 35mm copy, but wowowow whatever is just the old VHS and DVD master in HD.

It's overrated.

Agreed. The UHD beats the WOWOW on every level for me. No official release has the original colour timing so if that's your priority then go 35mm.

100 percent better in every conceivable way. It has its share of noise and scratches, but it's a pretty good print, and scan. A few seconds are missing, yes.

Neither is the WOWOW. It has the recomposited seaplane shot that was restored on the BD/UHD. Again, the only version free of recomposited opticals and digital fixes is the 35mm.

All three Indy films have had digital tweaks to their FX. The only thing I can say is that I personally didn't notice them. That's not an endorsement, just saying I can live with them. I love the idea of the original 35mm prints being restored, but until they get the 4K77 treatment I'm thinking I may find it easier to watch the UHD masters with LD stereo added. I can always change my mind later.

For what it's worth the LD stereo for TEMPLE seemed to sync with the UHD. But then it's pretty hard for me to notice any sync slips less than say 25-50ms.

So about the extra frame on LAST CRUSADE... where is it exactly? The posters couldn't seem to agree.
