Does anyone have this track in a complete form? I gather that most video and TV versions before the Blu-ray had about 7 minutes cut from the full film. Is that available anywhere?

Are the Dolby Digital 2.0 tracks on the DVD and Bluray not the original mono?

Actually, no - when it was released on VHS in July 1983, the soundtrack was remixed for stereo - which means that unless I get my hands on an original film print, the actual mono soundtrack is lost. I suppose I could make do by downmixing the stereo tracks...

There might be, but they'd probably be truncated. The TV version was cut down to 60 minutes.

Actually, come to think of it, the Laserdisc and DVD are two different cuts, so the BD stereo track is probably based off the original, but I'd have to get it to check.
I have another update. The stereo track presented on the Blu-ray is definitely a newer mix. On both tracks, the music sounds really tinny at times. I might be able to sync the audio from a TV recording to disguise the fact, but I'd really have to get my hands on a 35mm print if we really want that original audio.
On a similar note, Snoopy Come Home also has a stereo track, although I can probably sync the LD audio to that and it'll be fine. With its 50th anniversary coming up, there's no better time. Thanks given by: uVSthem
