Proposal: The James Cameron Project
BTW, here's the monitor size Jackson was using to preview the work being done on the LOTR UHDs:

This is a joke, right? (Come to think of it, back in the early 00's, HD remasters were done on monitors which were like 18", because the price was up the roof).
But it's not the case anymore, right? Jackson is so rich he could buy Australia and New Zealand and probably also Cuba and Mexico.

Here are some quick comparisons I put together on my lunch break. It includes all the transfers I have on me at the time. I tried to get the exact frame but might be off one or so. It should give you a rough sense of color and framing.

I can't say for sure which is the most accurate but the US HDTV is the best in my opinion. It's clear to me that the new 4K comes from that same transfer, slightly cropped at the top and bottom and then some shots color corrected. I say some since, some shots match the US HDTV and some are very different. I also don't know if the 4K is an upscale but I suspect as much. None of these exactly match the DCP's blues that I saw.

I also kind of like the colors of the first LD....

I still have love for the japanese BSX HDTV as this particular master was probably the anamorphic DVD master that was never released.
Is there a way to color match it to any other HD master?
BTW according to some websites, the True Lies Spanish DTS tracks timed +754ms sync to Flux releases.

Isn't just the track from the D-Theater?

I don't know, I just read it on some sites. It looks to me people took the Spanish disc tracks and muxed them to the new release.

the remaster of Frighteners looks incredible. Crisp, tons of resolution, all the grain. I'm guessing Park Road didn't touch any of it.

Look at her fake AI-interpreted eye (what a neural network thinks a human eye is supposed to look like). The cornea is way too big now. Also, the tell tale thicker strands of her. Jamie Lee would've killed to have hair like that.
