It happened the same... "thing" to me... found out that two single frames were so annoying (only to me, of course, nobody else noted them) that I was forced to fix'em and re-encode all for the X time (where I lost the count of the X...)
Luckily, now it's on my-internal-organ, and it will take "only" five days to upload - it's around 20% right now...
Hint: find a friend with a fast internet connection, and ask him to seed your project - tomorrow I'll do the same, hope to seed it two days before with his help!

All my friends in town have my same problem, fiber optic never reached them.
I probably didn't think much of those dirty frames the first time I watched it. Now that the rest is borderline perfection their existence is no longer tolerated. Just yesterday I saw more funny stuff going on on a wall behind Snake in Hauk's office, I lost the count of the micro-fixes I had to do and I never listed them all in the first post, there's too many. Most of the dirty marks on the Shout BR can be spotted only by going frame by frame, hardly noticeable when you play the film but if I know they're here...!

From a review online...
Quote:Yes, that faint blue vertical line still creeps in on occasion, and there's a blue horizontal line that flashes in for a few milliseconds right after the 40-minute mark. Additionally, some of the computer display text exhibits some pretty harsh blooming, possibly due to artificial contrast boosting. Dirt and debris could also be spotted at times, but it's hardly distracting. This is still a perfectly watchable disc, but videophiles will undoubtedly complain about "what could have been".
Aside from the horizontal blu line which turned out to be a lens flare also seen on 35mm, all the complaints about the Shout Factory release have been addressed and are now fixed. :hearts:

I counted 221 frames that have been individually "fixed" (221 one by one eh!) and more than 2 minutes worth of corrections. I have updated my BR cover in the first post.

Looks like my restored Italian version of EFNY is gonna be screened next month here in Italy at a film festival where I've been invited to attend. They have the permits to project the Shout Factory blu ray and I guess nobody will notice if 2 minutes 20 seconds have been altered/cleaned.
