Evit, don't know if my spoRv edition is in sync with yours, but you are free to use its audio and/or subtitle tracks - you will find also French and Spanish language as well - only 136MB each! Of course, if you need the original srt files - perfect start to make other subtitles type - let me know!
I tried several subtitle software, and I ended up using SubtitleEdit - can't remember why, but probably because it's free, (quite) easy to use, and do a good job with several subtitle formats.
Last thing: faded video. If you need to defade it for your project, try this avisynth function: https://fanrestore.com/thread-1218.html - second post contains the new version, it *should* recover from 50% up to 80/90% of the faded frames, that's not bad, after all!

I also downloadead SubtitleEdit because it shows audio waves (unlike Subtitle Workshop), maybe it's the same reason why you used it
Unfortunately it's not in sync with yours or I would have gladly used a lot of your material, but I'll check if it's easy to alter pre-existing subitiles on Subtitle Edit, maybe I'll save some time that way, rather than make them from scratch.

I didn't know about defade but I don't need it on this project. Did you use it in some cases?

Check how the two versions are out of sync; if there are few parts with missing/extra frames, it could be easy to use my subs and then put them in sync with SubtitleEdit.
Defade; testing it right now...

There are multiple moments where Shout Factory BR has more seconds than any previous versions, usually where one reel would switch to the next, at least that's my guess, probably they worked on a more complete version than previous releases, so the audio tracks had to be synched every 20 minuts or so, sometimes even more frequently.
I also noticed that the 5.1 mixes didn't get everything right (not that I use the new tracks anyway), they got confused sometimes as to where some of the sounds (thuds and similar) had to be inserted.
In any case, if you have the srt files handy send them over. As soon as I'll do my first render I'll work on them too.

So, I did the final render of the US release and the project is now on Encore, the preview shows what I would call a very good result. I exported at 27Mbps bitrate (max 30) with 3 audio tracks in PCM and the most simplistic menu where you select the language and the film starts playing into that language. Any extra message that appears before or after the film is not encoded within the film but it's a separate file on a playlist.
I still have to produce subtitles and insert chapters then I can finish it and make a Blu Ray out of it. English BR cover is also completed, for those who would like to physically add it to their collection.
Now about distribution... we will see! ahah

Sounds like the finished product is only around the corner, so looking forward to it. Thank you Evit, for all your hardwork along with other contributers. Glad, my original observations re problems with the Shout transfer helped in some way.

Your list was excellent to keep track of what needed to be done. The project is indeed around the corner but the subtitles are driving me insane, when I export them for BR they don't keep their dimensions correctly and become squashed at the sides (for some reason I still don't unterstand), when I export them to DVD (I'm also doing a DVD release with the Italian version of the project) they don't keep the sync... again, no idea why since the FPS are all correctly set.
Need a couple days of break from it I think ahah

I had the same problem when trying to match up custom subs to the Norwegian Big Game Bluray release when it first came out, took alot of patience and resyncing, also found if there was a gap between conversations the last sub would stay on until the next conversation.
