Evil Dead 2 and Batman Screens looking very well and promising.
Surely, nobody expects wonders, but I would say, there are worse BluRays to buy on the market. At least according to your samples...

Totally agree. The BDs are still superior to anything I can do. A 20-ish year old SD master (Batman) simply can not beat a 10 year old HD one. Its more to show that these upscales for rare DVDs are more watchable and closer to the BDs now and hopefully better then your player or computer's scaling.

The BDs still win (well we shall see when I try Predator vs the ultimate hunter edition Wink ).

You talking about the Ultimate 'Kr...Ekel...Ized' Hunter edition... That would even be beaten by an VHS upscale... Big Grin

What if you overlaid the BD over the upscale?

Cool project Wink I have BTTF 2 & 3 Full Frame DVDs. I also have both Spider-Man. And I am pretty sure that E.T was hard matted during shooting and only features opening and ending credits in open matte. The DVD was basically cropped.

Thanks waterslides I have all the BTTF discs also. So that will happen unless something better comes around.

Didn't know ET was hard matted. Thanks for the info.
