I finally downloaded this (my DL speed is crap!) and I love those LD soundtracks! I echo these statements about macroblocking and compression. I especially noticed it during the "shoot the glass" scene. And from what I've read and used in my own experience, the tune "film" setting is the way to go for anything using film as a source. I've even heard some people say it's good for non-film sources too lol.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I will definitely try out tune film. Perhaps the in-loop deblock can work some magic.

I took a quick look and the shot you referred to was very soft/out of focus, the stuff either side looked OK. I think like you said, the compressor got lazy on that one!
