Something tells me that there's a small shift in ratio in addition to the moving pans. It's just too difficult, for me at least. I'm also now hesitant with word of another Blu-ray on the way; if the frame is expanded there it could be a lot of wasted work.

At one time I was looking at this as one of my 35 Project like Die Hard 2 (probably will still be one) so with that in mind I scanned a trailer that was generously donated to me.
I got to say I love the colors a lot more from the trailer then the BD. Overall it's a lot more blue. Thanks given by: markymark , applesandrice

Here is the BD with the luma and contrast from the 35mm frames like I did with Die Hard 2. It also has just a little temp color correction and the aspect ratio matched to the 35mm frames unsqueezed by 2. I think it looks a bit better then the flatter BD.
BD/BD with 35mm contrast Thanks given by:

I like it very much PDB!
I wonder if you can regrade it, too, or make available the eventual avisynth script, or the result file, to be used as source for the regrade.

It would be awesome if this trailer was available for us folks to download, I'd love to have it, I enjoy this film immensely.

Got too many projects right now (including syncing sound for DH2) and a busy personal life so if you beat me to it, no problems there. Everything was done in Adobe so sadly no avisynth scripts but I can runoff the non graded avi (fixed ratio and luma) for you if you want. Sorry Jetrell, the trailer wasn't scanned for video. I just captured a frame from each shot in the trailer in my still 35mm scanner so I could see what it looks like..and use it for grading (it isn't my trailer anyway).

A bump up for this project: Any news?

Now that there is the auto-alignment plugin, I think I'll put my hands back in this project soon... still got to work on The Matrix now!
