[Canceled] The Blade Runner Regrade Collection (Restored DC and IC Regrade v2.0)
PDB, I also loved BR2049 and find your regrades to look very nice. I wanted to also bring up a point that someone made on FE.org which is that the UK blu ray seems to be closer in presentation to the theatrical release and that the US colors have darker black levels. This would make the UK blu ray closer to Deakin's original intentions which were the following:

"For this film it seemed to me that when the blacks were crunched too far you lose the feeling of the atmosphere in the air and you also lose the 'frame' lines. It is a delicate balance but I like the image to be seen within a frame, like a picture on a wall, rather than disconnected parts of an image in total blackness."

Thanks for all your work on Blade Runner. I'm looking forward to whatever you end up doing for 2049!

Thanks but it looks like I won't do a version of 2049 since I was beaten to the punch by an old friend Wink

I saw that Big Grin

Nevertheless, I still await the beautiful regraded directors cut your doing of the original. It is simply gorgeous!

Probably too early but has anyone spotted the open matte version of BR 2049 yet. Per reddit, it seems to be floating around on, maybe, VOD:

That, and the resistance subplot. And the memory subplot. And Harrison Ford's sentimental love-a-clone subplot. And a few others. Big Grin

Does anyone have a copy of the remastered director's cut DVD?

I think It has a slightly different color timing then the original DC DVD (and LD) but maybe not the same as the BDs. Not sure.

Or is there a copy of the HDTV airing that may or may not be based on this color timing?

I saw a R1 version in a store for 1$. You want me to get it?

Nah, It's not worth buying for this. I just wanted to compare it vs. my regrade to see if there are any major differences

Do you have a copy of DigitalFreakNYC's HDTV>DVD project from around 2005? Funnily enough, that was the main thing that got me started on OT, MySpleen, etc...

I can dig it out for you if it helps.

This one looked like an early version timing of the Final Cut, not like the NTSC DVD. Curious to see it!
