It's a damn shame that the commentaries exist and that they haven't been ported over to the new media formats.
Once again, laserdisc editions prove to be superior to new releases as we have seen countless times with color-timing as well.

The only 3 I haven't been able to track down and send to Vrexcl at TehParadox or put up myself on MySpleen are The Aftermath, Darling (Criterion), and Tom Sawyer (1973). Vrexcl has everything I have except the tracks from Wyatt Earp: Return to Tombstone that I ripped a few days ago, though they come from a partially rotted disc. Anyone who lives near certain libraries, like in San Diego (Aftermath), or near the University of Virginia (Sawyer, Darling), can find these three tracks for free. PM me if you'd live in the US and would like to help out and I'll explain how.

Those sites and others don't have 12 Monkey's Signature Collection Laserdisc commentary. Does anyone?

Also, apparently those sites don't want 12 Monkeys Signature Collection Laserdisc commentary due to Elmo saying those 5 words don't matter. However the original commentary isn't on the DVD and I would like the original. This is the same as many other peoples's preferences and opinions on here who want original versions. I don't know why Elmo doesn't think the original Laserdisc commentary isn't worth persevering.

This isn't a matter of the track not appearing at all on DVD, it's the very last sentence said that can't be heard: "Chuck Roven concludes by saying that '...in this whole game that we do, you gotta trust the process.' This snippet is missing b/c the laserdisc has the ratings card at the end and the dvd doesn't."

There are all sorts of mastering errors on DVDs (I seem to remember that on the commentary for The Thing, the DVD version is missing a moment where John Carpenter discussed Keith David's criminal past, corrected on the Blu-ray) that have nothing to do with censorship, and while that last sentence of the 12 Monkeys track is missing, it's not some catastrophic miscarriage of justice. I assumed the point of preservation is for future generations to hear what wasn't licensed or was censored, and that the information comes across. So, if you want to take the DVD track for 12 Monkeys and add audio of yourself in saying that last sentence, that would solve the preservation problem without myself or someone else tracking down the laserdisc and going through the transfer process. Unless it's truly important for you to hear Charles Roven, specifically, say that final sentence, which I may think is a bit overboard, but you can always call him and ask to do it over the phone.
