I assume that means CRTs? If so I can buy that.

A lot of the HD masters that are around are probably more then a decade old. Looking at amazon, the Indy movies came out on DVD in 2003 and it seems Temple and Crusade use the same masters as the DVDs so that means they are 14 to 15 years old. Well into the when most people still had CRTs.

I came across the thread while doing research on Ghost in the Shell.
Ive tried to find it again but have had no luck! I don't like posting stuff like that normally without having a link but it's a bit of information that has stayed with me.

I can not remember what TV Tech they we're referring to.
Is it possible the early LCD's could of had these problems also?
These masters are probably 'one size fits all'.

It's certainly true for some anime releases. You can see this in the BD of Nausicaa. The colour is so pushed towards red that the WWF logo that appears before the movie (which should be white) appears pink.

Ok finally got another Alien 3 trailer confirming the green/orange with blues look of Alien 3 (at least on LPP stock)

Wow. Alien 3 is a much better-looking film than I ever gave it credit for.

It doesn't fully match my memory of the last summer screening I went to.

That's a shame, can't sync up with you Beber. Either too much green or not enough Smile

Well, that's the thing. I dont recall Alien3 having this green on Golic's (is that his name?) bloody face. I don't recall that blue torch in "Kobayashi"'s hand. I do recall some teal in the stormy, lightning rain scene when Ripley gets Bishop's remains and is attacked by the prisoners. For the rest, I stand by my comments I told Sporv right after my screening comparing it to his Fundamental release, which I already shared with you as well.

Good reason you don't recall that Golic shot is since it's not in the theatrical print. Smile

You can only see that scene in the assembly and workprint cuts. Alien3 is like Rogue One, its trailers are littered with shots that didn't end up in the final theatrical product.

"Rouge One" ? Is that the sequel to "Moulin Rogue" ?
