Mh. Just had another look. You're right. It seemed on one screenshot that the US has better detail than the JP, but the other ones show the opposite. And the colors are better indeed.

Is it just me or does the TOD regrade, with it's gold and cyan look, somewhat resemble the colour alterations made to the much maligned BD of Raiders??

A lot of Blu releases that used existing HD masters from the DVD/LD days tended to be overly red.

I read on a Manga related thread some where on the Web, that the older video masters in Japan we're graded overly red to compensate problems with the TV technology at the time.
