It's tonight, you guys. Anybody else in Paris? The more eyes watching this print, the more people to report back about how it looks.
Here I found some French promo pics: http://www.freneticarts.com/rdvd/critique.php?ID=121

It's not like the Blu-ray with that red plague, it's on the bluer-greener side of the spectrum, and yet the cab still is in golden-orangie yellow like on film.

I'm sure this has already been considered, but is it possible that this release used the wrong colour space (ie Rec.601)?
Enjoy the film tonight! I would love to see even a fraction of the 35mm films you see.

Sorry won't be able to make it. Grab some pics!
Dammit! So, again, I'll be the only witness of that 35mm print... Depending on how many people are there, I might take some pictures, but I don't want to annoy anyone in the theater. Yeah, I'm that guy who whishes he could seize and smash those f***ing phones that illuminate every now and then in every row, left and right. If nobody's behind me, I'll try to take some pics with my screen brightness set to minimum like I did with Se7en. Plus, for Se7en, I was in the last row, so nobody behind to be annoyed.

Nothing was released and nothing done in SD colorspaces ever. I'm thinking Eastman LPP in the 90's era 2's. I think that's were a lot of the green is coming from. |
