To be honest, I don't know. Haven't seen it in a while. 

Is that usually the motivation for such projects? I know it is for Star Wars.

Took a look at some screens. Aside from the extreme green tint I don't find it that terrible. Grain seems rather strong, don't see much of DNR. At least in those handful of screens.
