If this is definitely the earlier Blu with the 1999 master then I'm definitely interested

Maksnew was nice enough to send me a link. It is definitely the older 1999 master with the same colors and print damage as the dvhs/dvd/OM.

Thanks for making this available, maksnew! I'm unlikely to be able to pull it down in time from the file-host, with which I've never had much luck, but it's good to know that the disc's in the wild. Someone here is sure to put it to good use.

Thanks Maksnew.

A word of warning, the reason this Blu-ray doesn't load in players is that it has nearly 300 titles which is overkill.

The folder alone, crashed my computer and I had to reinstall the complete OS. True Fight Club spirit I guess.

So I suggest, first get the main feature title.

Then get the rest separate, and reunite them in the stream folder later by moving the main feature inside it.

If you try the other way, this may result in a crash due to the amount of titles and data.

So for those who were able to download this, is the blu an improvement over the d-theater?

If I remember right, isn't the old master in OAR and 16:9 open matte also used on streaming places in the US? I recall the Itunes rental from a while ago looking noisy and magenta tinged like the DVD, not sure if they updated the master there but wouldn't surprise me if they kept it the same since it has no 4k version out as of yet.

I recall reading somewhere the remaster used on the BD was a 4k OCN scan finished at 2k. That could explain the color issues and the jaggies that resulted from a poor 4>2k downscale.

The original Blu looks like the original DVD only in HD.

I like that original look better, but it's probably a matter of taste.

What I meant was is there a noticeable improvement over the d-theater (which is the same master)
