I would like to get the link if you still have it online or if someone could reupload/mirror. Not a fan of 7.1 track.
Thanks in advance. I'm not active around here because I didn't even knew the site until now.

All it involved was adding some silence to the beginning, and voila! We now have the proper theatrical audio, which was mistakenly omitted from the new release, which includes a fold-down of the surround track instead of the original mono. Will you be syncing the Criterion Mono audio to the new Shout Factory Halloween 4K that's coming out on October 5th, 2021?

I can't send you a PM, possibly since I'm new here. Can you PM me the link to download your file of Halloween 4K with the Criterion Mono audio?

Hopefully you shouldn't need more then some kind of offset to sync it to the new 4k. But it is a new scan, so syncing may be more complicated. Thanks given by: crowe-t
Didn´t notice there will be a new UHD release. So scream factory is claiming they scanned it right of the negative and not the master which was released earlier, as i´ve no experience with scream factory: how legit will this release be?

Shout can be pretty hit and miss. They've claimed that they're using the original mono and doing a new scan from negative and restoring the original color timing. So far there haven't been any screenshots/trailers of their scan, and according to some of the customer service reps people have emailed they're using the butchered mono from the 2014 BD set. Ultimately no way to really know how it'll turn out until it comes out. Thanks given by: SIUse , RivalScenes

Just preordered the new UHD from Shout!Factory upgrading from the Anchor Bay release hoping for the Original Uncompressed Mono this time around.

The new 4K release from Shout Factory does have the Original Mono Mix included. Unfortunately it is the same "Filtered Mono" mix that Chace Productions processed in 1999 and has been included on the 2007 and 2014 BluRay releases of Halloween (1978). Initial reviews of the picture quality for the new 4K scan of the OCN are favorable so the best you are going to get for this release is to take the new 4K picture and combine it with the Criterion Laserdisc Mono Mix for the reference. It's a shame Shout Factory went lazy with the audio side of their new presentation. Thanks given by: SIUse , alexp2000 , RivalScenes
