I'm not a great fan of open matte myself. But I do love the idea of FOTR colour corrected to the 35mm with original cinema DTS. I understand that it's outside the scope of this project but would it be terribly difficult to work this magic on the 2.39:1 BD source alone?

I saw a sequence from that "ambilight" thing once I think, didn't look very convincing to me.
