[Cancelled] Fight Club Open Matte (and OAR Old Master)
#61
I think to have read about that title issue before ... when in doubt, it surely was either here or at originaltrilogy of course. Smile

Maybe there are different unrelated issues as even an overloaded playlist title set doesn't technically explain a PC drives' inability to recognize the disc at all. What I'd expect to work in any case, is retrieving the 2048 byte blocks from the disc in ISO mode as the drive has no idea about any BD-video structures.

Anyway, won't be much easier to play the d-theater which I have lying around either these days, sigh ...

Yeah, I know that feeling of not having a device to play a format at all... I sigh with you here.

BTW I now have about 12 PMs from people asking me to send them the Cinema DTS files.

I was entrusted with those files for use only with my project and I'm not going to separate them and send them out. Sorry about that.

Entrusted content is to be kept confidental, no question. How about the processed variant in conjunction with the finished result, then however?

As for contribution, since this project of yours seems to be already finished, for the sake of completeness, I could only throw the 5.1 AC3 of that scarce LaserDisc onto the pile if you haven't gotten that yourself already.

It's Ex encoded that Laserdisc

Yes, but technically, it is still 5.1 because that is what Dolby Digital (non plus) supports at maximum. An EX decoder might create 6.1 with a matrix based back center then if one wishes to do so depending on the speaker setup.

This project never disappeared. My attempts to clean it up have just pushed it out but still working on it.

Plan it right now to finish the OM and release it on its own and then release the old master OAR version. The OAR will require the same cleaning but after finding all the spots on the OM, that should go faster.

Comparing the German BD to the the Dtheather, it initial appears the German BD is better even though it is VC-1 but I need to dive a little deeper into that to make sure.

I was trying to PM you to find out where to get your other fan edits but for some reason I can’t PM you maybe it’s because I just registered.

Today I received an Open Matte version of the old Amazon transfer in very good quality, without logos, I'm sure it has much less problems than HDTV versions

I recently bought the German BD... but for some reason, my external Blu-ray drive won't recognize it. Definitely interested in helping if I can ever figure it out.
