I hope that you can fix that watermark issue.

Unless an alternate Open Matte extended version miraculously pops up in the following week with the logo in another place I'm afraid there is nothing I can do and will have to compile it the way it is.. might try to mask it through inpaint or something but that won't be pretty either Undecided

Well, maybe someone here has the skills to remove watermarks or has a foreign release that fixes that issue.
Any way, thanks for your work!
You can't just remove watermarks and magically restore picture that is not there. There is inpaint which I have experience with as mentioned, but that might end up even more distracting than just keeping the logo.
Not holding my breath for a copy with a different logo to pop up in my lap either. At the end of the day, this will still be the most possibly complete/definitive version of the movie. You're still seeing picture in those extended scenes you wouldn't on the BD and at higher quality than any TV airing. I also have to manually Color grade each of these scenes one by one so the final stitch is as seamless as possible because the BD and TVrip have very different colors. Doing the best I can on all fronts but can't pull all-around miracles and frankly nobody can unless they have access to the WB vaults lol
There's also scenes where big ass banner ads pop up on the screen unfortunately that, again the BD doesn't cover. Not even inpaint can savage that by any degree.
I wanna make it clear. We're only talking about the extended scenes here. Not the entire movie.

Thanks for the explanation!
As you said, this will be the best versions out there so anything you do, it will be worth it!
I will check this thread for updates Smile

I think that logo can be removed, w/ Neat Video or similar. I've seen it done well. It doesn't just blur that area, it uses pieces of surrounding video to newly render the "missing pixels", its quite clever. Please remind me what the extended scenes are from the 1st two movies and I can tell you if they were on the E! broadcast or not.
I agree w/ you that simply placing a "piece" from the extended scene OM (if it exists) is the best way to remove those pesky logos.

Yeah, that's called inpainting which I just mentioned. Not quite the ideal solution.
These are some of the extended scenes. Perhaps the most iconic one is the one with Petunia finding Hogwarts letters in the eggs.

Do you reckon if these were in? Also on what part of the screen is the E! logo?

Bad news, those scenes were not in. E! Logo is lower-right.

all movies will also be on SyFy & USA (same parent company of E! which shows the open-matte versions) around Thanksgiving time in the US, in HD. Those logos are small, pale-grey, and bottom left.

Yeah I have a friend recording them, thing is he also recorded them last year and sadly the first 2 (which are the ones we need OM extended scenes for) were aired in Widescreen. He's going to record again from both channels. Let's hope for the best, this would honestly be the last chance. I will post as soon as I know the outcome with these tapes.

Edit:
I found a HD Russian version Open Matte Extended without logos (Do not know if they are removed)
I have not checked them yet so possible problems would be:
- Missing scenes
- Image croped (Because of logos)

Available on my server:
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone 720p
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets 1080p
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire 720p
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 720p

Let me know if they are any use for restoration or upscale

Judging from the last screenshot of the extended scene it seems it's the Open Matte with just BD WS scenes re-added in so I'm afraid that won't be of help.
Thank you for looking though(:
PS: anything beyond movie 3 doesn't have open matte extended scenes. They are all pan & scan as mentioned before on this thread, I already have all I need so no need to look for that for yours and anyone else's future reference. I only need 1 & 2 extended scenes with expanded ratio to cover the logo but only for these 2 movies. the rest are good.

Unrelated, but here's some raw screenshots from the Movie 1's theatrical that I am wrapping up
