[Released] Pearl Harbor Director's Cut

This is another Director's Cut that hasn't seen an official release on Blu Ray. This project was created by taking the 1080P Director's Cut Webrip and combining it with the official Blu Ray theatrical cut footage. The Webrip was only used for the additional/alternate footage. Overall there are 54 differences and it amounts to around a minute longer. Everything here is native 1080P, there is no SD upscaled footage. The Blu Ray footage was also dehalo'd a little in Avisynth.

Due to the size of the project I decided to split this one over two BD25s, one with the main movie and one with the extra features.

You know all I remembered about this movie was the attack sequence and it's bad reputation - but I had a fun time watching it. The attack sequence is amazing but I thought the whole thing was pretty good and I'm not sure I understand why it was hated by so many people.

It tried too hard to be Titanic, and was no where near as good.
That being said I haven't seen this is over a decade, and I'm pretty curious to go back and re-evaluate it.

Nice one. I've never seen this cut. I thought it only existed on DVD, so I waited for a HD version to come eventually, so now is the time, I guess.

From what I remember (been quite a few years since I last watched it) wasn’t the 1080p HBO WEB-DL (not Rip as mentioned above) actually compressed better overall (despite lower bitrate) than the ancient blu-ray which was released towards the beginning of the format and due to this the compression back then wasn’t up to snuff. I guess I may of been wrong but having to de-halo it at least suggests I was half right (but as mentioned above could be down to the EE present on blu-ray).
