Eagle:
Regarding the 4K release, we’ll use the same master but we’re trying to do our best to make some improvements, wherever possible. for sure it’ll be a BD-100. could be released this autumn.

I’ve also been working on a documentary discussing the editing and footage problems that Paramount has never fixed. I finally found a crappy low res version of the rare Italian CVC DVD of the 1990s extended version, but never got to see the Leonenut fan reconstruction. Does anybody have that by chance? I didn’t know he had also made a documentary that seems to be along the same lines of what I’ve been making.

I think I still have the documentary (but not the main feature anymore).

I think it’s safe to say at this point that Paramount is at best hit or miss at the 4k game.

I did an upscale of the Italian extended dvd some years ago. I have to see if I can dig it out or at least redo it.

So that best solution seems to be sticking to the old BD? If I did an upscale of that BD to 4k what changes would need to be made? I know the rising has to be removed. But is the ending just a matter of the music or is it the title coming in at the wrong time?

They are the worst, if they do something well, it's more luck than judgement

Why don't we just use a RetroTINK-4K for the upscaling procedure for the either the 2003 or 2013 Remastered CVC DVDs? (just a suggestion, in case if there are other acceptable alternate ways to do such a thing)

Something like that is only needed if you're doing the upscaling in real-time. Not really necessary unless you're playing games or watching a DVD on an actual DVD player.

And the RetroTINKs are generally used for SD (yes I know, the DVD can have an HDMI input).

Long story short, that's pretty much the answer I need (what a brain).
