I just find out about this project. It's incredible!
A new UHD with Dolby Vision is to be released this June, along with its 2 sequels. Atmos will replace dts:X. Probably no chance to find the historical dts on the disc, but one can hope for new scans and proper picture restorations. Hopefully, no bogus AI restoration, but since it's Spielberg and Universal ("Jaws 3", "The Sugarland Express"), one can fear the use of AI. Fingers crossed.

Progress:
reel 1 - 100% rendered out aside from a few seconds of patch frames that will need to be sourced to fill in the splice (and 100% for scene by scene color and green emulsion removal through the helicopter landing on the island after that the print didn't have any green emulsion lines so that is automatically done, didn't check if any of the last few scenes need calibration tweaks or not) reel 2 - 24.6% rendered out and it's rendering more as I type Thanks given by: dvdmike , Symus35 , Daffy_Duck , Kreeep

They will be the same with Dolby bs slapped on top

I managed to preorder the trilogy for 25€, half price, so it won't be too painfull if it sucks.

I think there’s a chance it’s a new grade off the old scan. Provided it’s a clean filmic copy of the scan, and the grade is well done, this could be great.
If they simply re-grade the home video master, yuck.
