The first is your scan, and the second is from the first scan that was around.
Do we know what were the original colors? Did they have that yellow tint or not?
Or I guess it depends on the cinema someone viewed the film?

Can I still donate and be part of it?

The old scan was rendered in the wrong colour space resulting in desaturated colours. The yellow colour cast in this scene is accurate.

The top image from my scan isn't quite the finished color calibration, that said, the calibration used there is already vastly closer to the actual look of the original film prints, or at the least, to the look of the one I scanned. I'm doing calibration by comparing back to original prints under D56 theatrical-like lighting. I've heard from some who were projectionists back in the day and they say that as best as they recall JP prints largely tended towards yellow. Some also said that this title did have somewhat more color variation across prints than typical though. But most seem to have said that a majority of the prints they saw were quite yellow leaning and that is likely how a majority of people who saw it in theaters would have seen it, with some degree or another of more yellow trending and with a lot of the green leaves/grass going very yellow green and olive or even orange greenish.

The old print scan that is floating around used a weird lighting source in the scanner that didn't handle colors quite right and I don't believe it was ever calibrated back to the print at all and I'm not sure it was even properly compensated from scan data gamut and possibly mistakenly taken as sRGB, not sure, but it very much has the look of some sort of wide gamut data treated as if it were sRGB/REC709 when it's not. All I can say is that comparing the old print scan floating around to my actual 35mm print of the film the old scan colors do not match my 35mm print well nor from what I have heard to some scattered frame snipes sourced from a different 35mm print that someone else I was talking to has.
