Most people don't care. They don't see cinema as an art. For them, it's just a cool thing to kill 2 hours of their boring lives. How many times have I read "no Atmos, no sale" in the comments on blu-ray.com for movies released before 2012? These idiots are in the "it's better" wagon. Because of George Lucas, aka the killer of cinema, people expect movies to be updated now. They have no more consideration towards art and the history of art than they have towards a smartphone app they upgrade every other day. It's the same people that keep chanting the Idiot Party line that "it's their movies, they can do whatever they want", which is false and wrong on both accounts. I no longer waste my time debating with these people.

And I just read the other day that, when asked about Zodiac, he says he would make it very differently today but that movies belong to the time of their creation and thus must not be changed. A perfect PR statement. The problem is he does in fact the opposite of what he says. Same BS statement as when he ruined Seven. Fincher has become the worst.

I find it interesting, I'm going to rewatch the movie because of this LOL.

But of course, keep your old DVD and Blu-ray!

Too bad, that the original silver retention prints are so hard to find. This movie certainly deserves a more theatrical accurate look.

Lucas, Cameron and Fincher hand in hand.

Yes, the post production here, for the UHD, was made at Park Road. Probably he showed Cameron the 8K scan and JC said "Wow you can see her zits!", and this sent Fincher into depression and he removed all zits and blemishes from the movie!

If you don't think Fincher has had these changes on his mind for decades you're deluded. He's just been waiting until the tech was available/non cost-prohibitive

Lol. Yeah, I don’t think the location is the issue. It’s the people involved and they would do the same anywhere else.
