After hunting down several DVDs only to discover they all have remixed audio, I have finally secured the original mono audio sourced from the VHS. It never had and LD release, and a blu-ray is unlikely, so this is the only source of the original audio ever released. It is synced to the HD web-dl.

Thanks to Doctor M for helping me secure a higher quality web-dl. And special thanks to crissrudd4554 for transferring the audio and video from the VHS.

Thanks to @velocity I've been informed about a new web-dl that does contain the original mono. It doesn't sound fantastic, but neither does the VHS. Real shame it never got an LD.

The Amazon streaming 2.0 track is stereo. It sounds more or less identical to the 5.1 mix so probably a downmix but the noise looked a bit different in areas to me so not 100% sure on that.

What VHS did you source for your recording? There looks to be 3 distinct releases. The early 80s clamshell, a late 80s/early 90s SP-mode, and the 1997 LP-mode (with almost the exact same box/artwork and the 2nd release). All are undated and none of them are labeled as hi-fi but I'm pretty certain both the later releases actually are. There's also a good chance the early 80s clamshell is hi-fi but can't be certain without listening to it.

I ran into a sealed copy of the 97 LP-mode for cheap today and made a recording. Might not be better than what you already have but worth a quick comparison. Imo it's a significant improvement over the Amazon stream.

The Disney+ web-dl has 2.0 that is mono. It's very heavily NR'd though.

I don't have the tape, I got it off ebay and shipped it to someone else to get captured. I don't think it was a clamshell though.

I'd love to check out your rip to see if it's an improvement, it would be nice if there's something better then what I have.

Did you source the D+ stream yourself? I haven't seen that released anywhere.

The VHS still has lots of NR, like most older tracks do, but it's not to the same extent as the stereo mixes (VHS top/Amazon bottom):

It was given to me by another member here. Here's the spectrograms comparing the D+, AMZN, and the VHS I have. The in-between tracks are the difference between the two channels.
