I can just see there being a long-running argument over which of the 2 releases is 'correct'.
In any case I'm looking forward to seeing how these look once the discs are released.

Now I wonder how the French release by Metropolitan looks like. It was released in December, but for 45 or 49€ the collector edition, I didn't bother. I might pull the trigger when a basic Amaray will be released in a few months.

At the minute we're going purely by a trailer made by Arrow, trailers aren't always representative, we won't know for sure until we see what's on the discs. Also this 4K restoration is getting a theatrical release in the UK, so it'll be interesting to see if Arrow have in fact regraded it to a full DCP finish.
It wasn't long ago Arrow couldn't put the blues into Phenomena for 'technical' reasons, maybe they've learned some new techniques.
It looks like the PCC is planning to show a 35mm print during March (but may revert to the 4K DCP). Anyone planning on going?
