In regards to Thunderball, Framestor reckons UHD is best for both original and alternate mono, although this time they don’t mention they analysed it against other sources.

I'm on pins and needles until I can get them later this week. The 1.75 ratio is understandable though I think 1.66 is better. The color on the first three from images so far is promising. Ultimately these will be better than the hideous Lowry masters we've been stuck with. The audio on the monos is going to be hit or miss in terms of fidelity.
Unfortunately even the BD.com review is already saying there's some frozen grain occasionally and the monos are noise reduced...if the site review notices it then it must be obvious. I'm also not sold on the way Thunderball's color timing might be fully but I have to wait and see. This is still a welcome surprise as any new good work is better than the crap we've been stuck with. And Thunderball finally having both monos is astounding...it's almost as if someone saw my video. The reviews so far have been underwhelming as usual so expect one of my exhaustive long videos, or perhaps six individual ones.

We can forget the Lowry versions now, I believe if you have some objections to the look (I think FRWL is not colorful enough, and GF is a bit dark, maybe some scenes in TB have a slight green push), fixing them for projects will be a no brainer. Until Arrow revisit them LOL.

The hope is that Arrow could do a UK revisit and go beyond with additional work and letting us help out if possible.
The suspense of getting this is killing me. I'm alternating between Dollars trilogy review work and this and the difference in care put in will be night and day between the releases.

Yet, still important to preserve the 1.66:1 presentations of the first three Bonds, in case the person's Hobby is "Aspect Ratio Lore" ![]() (2025-06-11, 07:50 PM)captainsolo Wrote: The hope is that Arrow could do a UK revisit and go beyond with additional work and letting us help out if possible. James Bond is the Heart of today's MGM (after March 16, 1999 WB buyout of Turner), how pray tell can the studio today possibly give us the pristine benefits (in terms of Audio Quality or finest sound mixes sounding better than any of the Home Video mixes and Extras either not on DVD/BD/UHD or not on Home Video at all fx. no "Shoulder" line from "OHMSS" or Mr. Kidd in flames Uncensored on "DAF") MIA from their modern releases (2006-Present) that we need for the classic 20 Bond Films (particularly)? Teaser quote/question: When are Arrow Video UK going to be given a greenlight to release 4K UHDs of "Pink Panther Feature Films" (1963-1993), do you believe this would come before Bond or After "TMWNN Trilogy" (1964-1966)? Only time will tell when MGM or (Universal [for "The Return of the Pink Panther" (1975)]) are feeling that it is right to do so. Thank you ![]()
