[In progress] "Zack Snyder's Justice League" reframed to widescreen 16:9 1.78:1 AR

I didn't find the 2 shots you're talking about to be problematic. I lose part of Ares for a few frames but it still works with the dynamics of the whole shot. And as for Cyborg flying over Steppenwolf, I have him at the very limit of the frame temporarily, but at this moment, your eyes are guided towards Diana and Steppenwolf anyway, so it works, too.

For me it was only the one when Steppenwolf touches the box and ends up in the field where he has his vision that ends up not being optimum because of the movement. Since I didn't want to lose his eyes inside the frame, even temporarily, he ends up at the bottom of the frame with his feet cut off in the field. It's not ideal but not too ugly either, and I don't want to introduce bogus pannings during the shots.

And this one whith Gordon and the League that's a little tight to keep Diana head to toe, plus the batsuit ears and not having the smaller Gordon way too low. I noticed even the theatrical cut struggled with the framing of this one and put everyone way too low. And I don't think I need to include the unaesthetic plastic sheet on top. This one will look even tighter after soft matting it to 1.85:1. At 1.78:1, it's already at the limit of the acceptable.

Tottaly get your thinking on those shots.
On my end I was like ''does the shot looks iconic of not'' considering that Snyder always go for the coolest framing possible.
My first pass was to not do any modification but then a few shots looked really weird, that Steppenwolf shot for exemple with the cut feets was a no go for me.
Most ''oners'' shots with the cam turning around or doing a complex movement (the crushing of Steppenwolf head comes to mind for exemple).
As said very curious to see your full work Wink

Works perfectly fine for me. I have the complete vortex at the beginning, the crushing is very much inside the frame, although the lower eye gets extinct very close to the edge of the frame, and the shot finishes with a finely framed Darkseid with just enough head room to look good.
