LaserDiscs needed for replacing BD audio

You might be able to find it for less on Aliexpress, couldn't find it in a quick search myself though.

Wow good price! Unfortunately, they won't ship it to my country. I'll have to shop around I guess. Thanks for the tip, Buster! Much appreciated!

As for Dragonslayer, that widescreen Laserdisc I have is digital stereo (catalog is #1367) so I'm thinking this was also a remix and not likely what we're looking for?

However, I do have the original Beta tape from 1981 and currently have the capability to capture the linear track. It's a former rental tape, so I have no idea what shape it's in, but I'm willing to give it a try if this is more faithful to the theatrical release?

Looks like this is the same device, and it seems to be available for shipping to Canada:

I've been looking for this one for a while too Doom.

If no one has it, I'll try to include it in my next order for capturing.

Right now I have the following on the way for a partner to capture.
Bloodsport [37062] (NTSC/P&S)
Lifeforce [ML105117] (NTSC/LBX/SRD)
Gremlins [12169] (NTSC/LBX/SRD)
Red Dawn [ML100499] (NTSC/P&S/ANA)

In the Aftermath has a horrible audio mix on the Arrow Blu-ray, where it sounds muffled. The now-OOP Code Red Blu-ray is even worse, as the audio was downmixed to mono, as the film was originally in Ultra Stereo.
The VHS, in comparison, sounds much clearer than any Blu-ray release, but the only VHS audio I found is a XviD AVI with 128kbps MP3 audio. Even still, it sounds much better than the Blu-rays.
Hopefully, someone could do a lossless capture of the Hi-Fi VHS and sync it to the Arrow Blu-ray.

Are 4K UHD releases and BDs from other countries included for this comparison? I've seen a LOT of 4K remuxes which have older VHS, LD, and even DVD audio tracks to replace shite Atmos upmixes and bungled other randomness. I haven't focused too much on BDs.

DIRTY HARRY 4K remux from a private tracker:
Warner H.V. LaserDisc (1992) [12483] (main audio) = English / FLAC / 1.0ch / 280kb/s / Original Mono Mix.

Bitrates obviously don't need to be included, this is just an example.

Include whatever you like - this thread was just about discussing superior older audio tracks to newer releases.

There are MANY of them, actually, even on Usenet.
Atmos, tbh, is great when a release ACTUALLY get a proper theatrical Atmos mix to begin with, with true audio objects and proper audio separation.
Otherwise it's just a bad upmixed-hackjob (I was fairly disappointed with both Apocalypse Now and TITANIC Atmos).
But, for the rest, I always prefer the OG audio, be it Cinema DTS (when possible), DTS-HD or LD DTS/DD.

I recently found a 35mm print of True Lies with Cinema DTS, and the first 2 Terminator movies with the OG Theatrical Mono/Stereo audio.
If someone needs a specific audio track, or a release, i'm willing to share it with the community.
